The Goal:
I was responsible for modifying existing game systems and implementing new functionalities to enhance gameplay. In addition, I ensured the game maintained a high level of stability by identifying, resolving, and testing bugs thoroughly to prevent regressions and ensure smooth player experience.

The Challenge:
Working on Havendock presented the challenge of maintaining code stability in a live project with an existing player base. One particular situation stood out: fixing a seemingly minor glitch unexpectedly caused major issues that prevented players from starting a new game or loading existing saves. This highlighted the importance of understanding interconnected systems and thoroughly testing even the smallest changes. It pushed me to improve my debugging process, implement safer testing practices, and develop a deeper awareness of how different systems interact within the game.

The Result
While working on Havendock, I resolved over 50 bugs, improving the game's stability and user experience. I also contributed to the development of the Wisp system, which enabled inter-island transportation—an important part of the gameplay loop. This work involved integrating the system with existing mechanics and ensuring smooth functionality. Along the way, I enhanced my communication and collaboration skills and gained valuable experience in debugging, feature implementation, and working within an active development environment.
